Bidding Information

On Tuesday June 13, 2000 the McDowell County Commission opened bids on the Industrial Park.
Bid packages were as follows:

Bluestone Industries of Beckley
A option-- 3,850,000.00
B option-- 2,710,000.00
C option-- 2,590,000.00

Odom Construction of Kentucky
17,218,674.00

Kanawha Stone Company from Nitro
15,000,000.00

Vecellio and Grogan of Beckley
3 options ranging between 17,473,000.00 and 24,710,000.00

Elmo Greer and Son from Kentucky
bids on 2 of the options at 21,261,300.00 & 20,761,300.00

The low bidder was identified as Bluestone Industries of Beckley and option B of their bid was favored by the Commission.
